With a heavy heart and deep sadness, we announce the passing of our dear Mother Rita Irene Goodwin on Thursday January 9th, 2025, at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her parents George and Juliette Paquet, her husband of 54 years Ronald Goodwin, sister Lucille, grandson Sean and great grandson Charlie.

Julia Annie Helen Kevol (Glats) passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born in January of 1934 and lived in Valor, Sk and attended Jackson and Highland Vallery schools in the Valor Districts. Julia attended High School at Convent Mathiew School in Lafleche, SK and then Regina College. In 1951, her parents moved to Moose Jaw. They lived in Boharm, SK for a year then established a home in Moose Jaw. She attended Moose Jaw Business College and began her employment with National Light and Power in 1952.

Marjorie Opal Anderson passed away on January 2, 2025. She was born December 25, 1940, to Cecil and Vivian Walker of Moose Jaw.

Marj was raised in Moose Jaw and married John Anderson in 1961. The couple adopted their only child in 1973. Marj and John separated in 1981 and Marj developed a relationship with Dennis (Tim) Neff.

Marj enjoyed bowling, dancing, reading, camping, needlepoint and was a proficient homemaker. Later in life, she put her administrative talents to work at Moose Jaw Ford and Bader Law Firm as a receptionist.

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our dear George Whyte on Dec,9 2024. A funeral service will be held on Jan, 9 2025 at 12:00PM at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. W. With deep sorrow the family of Laura Mae Marchessault announces her passing, unexpectedly at home, on December 31, 2024, at the age of 62 years. She was born in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan on December 10, 1962, and spent the majority of her life in Moose Jaw.

Laura knew the value and the enjoyment of a task well done having worked hard, from a young teenager in her parents’ business and through her adult life.  She spent a significant period of time working at the Officer’s Mess, 15 Wing Moose Jaw and at Extendicare care home from where she retired. 

William Edward Krahenbil, Age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 15, 2024, at Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw, SK. He was born July 13, 1944, Tisdale, SK. to John and Dorothy Krahenbil.

William was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed watching football games and saying HUH anytime someone was talking to him. He enjoyed being a handyman which included building houses, helping to build things or fix things and/or giving advice. In his final days he thought he was still trucking, and his family was with him.

Olive Yvonne Stuehler, a beloved matriarch of the Stein family, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the last of 11 siblings, and her presence will be profoundly missed.

The family of Louise Marcilen Laura Huxley is saddened to announce her passing on December 11, 2024, at the age of 67. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. It is with sadness the family announce the passing of Gary C. “Hos” Hoskins with his wife by his side on October 26, 2024, at the age of 76. Gary served in various disciplines during his distinguished 33 ½ year career with the RCMP. He was very proud of his career, and his coworkers held him in the highest regard.

Thomas Harral Jukes, 93, of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at Pioneer Lodge. Prior to his short stay at the lodge, Harral, was living independently until age 92 in Moose Jaw after moving from their farm in 2012 with the love of his life, Marj of 62 years.
