Blaine McLeod projected to win Lumsden-Morse riding

The Saskatchewan Party’s Blaine McLeod has been projected by the provincial media as the winner of the Lumsden-Morse riding. 

McLeod and his wife Marlie have lived in the hamlet of Caron since 1975, and they have three children and 10 grandchildren. 

McLeod was first elected MLA for Lumsden-Morse in the 2023 by-election and has been a dairy farmer in Caronport for over 40 years, operating Caroncrest Farms Ltd. with his sons. 

Updating southwest provincial election results: 5 Sask Party MLAs re-elected

UPDATE 10:15 p.m. 

All five local Saskatchewan Party MLAs are celebrating their re-election tonight.

Everett Hindley in Swift Current, Doug Steele in Cypress Hills, David Marit in Wood River, Blaine McLeod in Lumsden-Morse and Jim Reiter in Rosetown-Delisle have all received a vote of confident from their constituents. 

Elections Sask explains counting process and measures for election integrity

Elections Saskatchewan held media briefings during voting to ensure outlets had information on the security and integrity of the provincial election, correct details on obtaining accurate information, and a chance to ask Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Michael Boda any questions. 

Today, Monday the 28th, is the last day of voting. Polling stations will be open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. The First Preliminary Count starts immediately at 8.
