Duck Dynasty star gives health update on Phil Robertson: 'Not good'

The health of a former reality TV star continues to "not be good."

In December 2024, Jase Robertson shared that his father, Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty, was facing health problems. 

Jase recently shared in Unashamed With the Robertson Family that the approach for his father's condition is to "make him as comfortable as possible." 

City of Winnipeg employee charged in connection to serious crash last month

A City of Winnipeg employee is facing charges in connection to a crash that left a pedestrian with serious injuries. 

On March 15, a 25-year-old woman was attempting to cross at Osborne Street and Mulvey Avenue when she was struck by a white van.

The vehicle continued driving down Osborne and a passerby who noticed the injured woman, called for help.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized for some time as a result.

An investigation identified the vehicle involved as a Ford Transit panel van registered to the City of Winnipeg.

Ben Fuller teams up with Carrie Underwood for powerful new faith-filled single

Ben Fuller has teamed up with a powerhouse singer in his latest collaboration.

The popular has partnered up with Carrie Underwood to release a new single, "If It Was Up To Me."

"If it was up to me, I’d miss blessing after blessing, I’d never know how good God is, and I’d never experience true freedom," said Fuller in a post on social media. "I’m so grateful @carrieunderwood would lend her voice to this song."

Cyclist braving elements to raise funds for autoimmune disease

Tyler J. Ashton, originally from Port Coquitlam, B.C., made a stop in Winnipeg Monday morning on his way to cycle across Canada for a good cause. 

"I started on March 1 on mile marker zero on Vancouver Island, right next to the Terry Fox statue," says Ashton. "It was kind of an ode to him. We came from the same hometown. The ride has been good."

Ashton pulled into Winnipeg this past weekend and made a stop at the CHVN studio to share why he is cycling at the end of winter into the early spring, with many days below freezing across the prairies. 

'Every lymph node came back cancer-free': Jon Reddick gives health update on wife

Worship leader and songwriter Jon Reddick has given an update on his wife's health. 

Late last month, he announced that his wife, Rebecca, was diagnosed with early-onset colon cancer.

"The diagnosis is positive as it was hopefully detected early enough," said Reddick when the discovery was made. "This is a deeply personal diagnosis as Rebecca lost her dad to colon cancer at this same age, so as you can imagine, we are extremely grateful for this early diagnosis and surgery."

Campground reservations open today for Manitoba provincial parks

It's an exciting day for camping enthusiasts across Manitoba as the province's campground reservation site officially opens for the season.

As in previous years, reservations will be staggered over five days to accommodate the high demand and make it easier for Manitobans to book their favourite campground. 

Starting at 7 a.m. today, the province will take reservations for all cabins, yurts, and group-use areas.
