Offence explodes in second half as Rush hammer Roughnecks
Despite trailing at the half, the Saskatchewan Rush pulled off a 16-13 win against the Calgary Roughnecks on Friday night in the Saddledome.
Ryan Keenan opened the scoring followed up by Mike Messenger in the first quarter as the Rush jumped out to a 4-3 lead. Adam Jay and Austin Shanks found the back of the net in the first frame also.
Shanks, Keenan and Zach Manns buried in the second half, but Saskatchewan felt themselves down 9-7 at the half.

The Saskatchewan Rush (6-2) and Calgary Roughnecks (5-3) will meet up at Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday, February 14th.
Triolo fills the net in Rush's 12-8 win
Mike Triolo had the hot stick early as the Saskatchewan Rush grinded out a 12-8 road win over the San Diego Seals.
The 6'8 forward scored three goals on his first three shots of the game, locking in a natural hat trick in the opening five minutes. Zach Manns would add another in the quarter, putting the Rush up 4-0.
In the second, Austin Shanks, Levi Anderson and Robert Church all found twine and Thomas Kiazyk made 19 straight saves as the Rush led 7-0 at half.

Thomas Kiazyk’s first career start ended with a win as the Saskatchewan Rush topped the Albany FireWolves 17-13 at Co-op Field on Saturday.
Albany jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but the Rush punched back thanks to goals from Austin Shanks, Jake Boudreau, Clark Walter, Mike Triolo and Robert Church.
In the second, the scoring fest continued as Ryan Keenan buried a pair, while Robert Church finished off the first half hat trick, putting the Rush up 9-8 at half-time.

Frank Scigliano made 43 saves Saturday night for the Saskatchewan Rush in an 11-8 loss against the Toronto Rock at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga.
Brock Haley opened the scoring, while Robert Church and Ryan Keenan also found the back of the net in the first quarter as the two sides were tied 3-3.
In the second, Zach Manns and Clark Walter jumped in on the fun, but the Rock’s offence kept punching back leaving the game knotted at 5-5 at half.
