Union Gospel Mission opens its doors to seven ministries across Winnipeg each day with the goal to share the message of salvation while bringing glory to God, one of the ways is through the Family Life Centre on Pritchard Avenue.

David Leonard is asking for prayer as he works to create a new recording space for Christian artists. 

For years, Leonard and a few friends ran a studio, literally seconds away from their new space. About two years ago, David bought an old church in downtown Franklin, Tennessee, with intentions of transforming it into a new and updated recording studio. 

"We've been held up for about two months on inspections and permits and all kinds of things," said Leonard. "Man, it is tough, so I'm reaching out for prayer."

Hundreds of people are flocking to stadiums across Europe in what one ministry is calling a 'fire of revival.'

Blind Christian singer Blessing Offor shares his loss of words after the sudden passing of his mother on Tuesday.

Offor was born in Nigeria and was the youngest of six children. He came to Canada with his uncle when he was six years old. 

Brian Doerksen, a renowned Canadian Christian singer-songwriter and worship leader from Abbotsford, BC, and Marika Siewert, an award-winning director, actor, and recording artist based in Langley, BC, will stop in Winnipeg later this week. 

It's all part of Doerksen's Come Now is the Time to Worship Tour. 

"It's kind of a marking of 25 years of that song," said Doerksen. "We share some of the stories behind the songs and then we'll share our current singles we've done together."

This will be the first time that Marika has had the opportunity to visit Winnipeg. 

After 23 bids the personal Bible of Elvis Presley sold at auction for $150,000 recently to an anonymous bidder. 

The bidding took place through Kruse GWS Auctions over Memorial Day weekend. 

"Kruse GWS Auctions has worked closely with the Presley family, MGM archives, museums, top Hollywood archive facilities and has represented 16 royal family collections at public sales," the website states.

After Presley's passing in 1977, his dad Vernon and cousin Patsy were sorting through all his personal items at Graceland. 

A former member of Rend Collective is preparing to release a children's book.

Ali Gilkeson says she hopes the book, inspired by Rend Collectives' platinum-selling song 'My Lighthouse,' will encourage and remind children they are not alone.
