It’s been nearly a week since Syria’s de-facto leader Ahmed al-Sharaa assumed the role of interim president. 

Christian singer and songwriter Jonathan McReynolds is opening up about redefining success and learning to slow down to see the goodness of God in the quiet moments. 

McReynolds received the Grammy Award on Sunday for Best Gospel Performance/Song for "One Hallelujah" alongside Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Erica Campbell, Israel Houghton, and Jekalyn Carr. 

Helping marriages thrive is a focus of Family Life Canada and the National Director will be speaking about that this weekend at Missionfest Manitoba. 

"We want to bring help and hope to every family in Canada," says Brent Trickett, the National Director of Family Life Canada. "We do that by helping families flourish and live on mission and also by partnering with churches to strengthen the marriages in their community."

Musicians and songwriters across the board including Christian artists, are mourning the loss of a well-known and well-loved music publishing executive.

Ben Vaughn, CEO of Warner Chappell Nashville, died on Thursday. 

CeCe Winans was the big winner in the Christian music categories at this year's Grammys.

The popular gospel singer walked away with two Grammy's including, Best Gospel Album for More Than This and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for her collaboration on "That's My King," which was recorded alongside Taylor Agan, Kellie Gamble, Lloyd Nicks and Jess Russ.

Former 100 Huntley Street TV host Greg Musselman will be leading a breakout session during Missionfest Manitoba this weekend, talking about the persecuted church. 

Pilgrim Baptist Church is considered the oldest Black church in Winnipeg. As February is Black History Month, it's one members favourite months of the year. 

"It's so important that we remember the struggles and achievements the Black community has made," Valerie Williams, project manager at Pilgrim Baptist Church said. "God has brought us a mighty long way and we need to celebrate that. It gives us an opportunity to think about the roles Black people have played in shaping our society and shaping Canada, including advancements in science, politics and human rights."

The Wonder Project is releasing a TV series, House of David, showcasing King David's life.

The movie will go straight to streaming services, offered on Amazon Prime, and is directed by Jon Erwin (I Can Only Imagine) and Jon Gunn (The Case for Christ). 

Tauren Wells has been busy over the past few years, touring, making music and starting a church in Texas. He is now preparing to release his first book. 

Wells made the announcement on Instagram saying he's been working on this book for quite some time.

"If you’ll give God your greatest dreams, he’ll hand you back a deeper purpose," said Wells.

He shared a screenshot of his manuscript acceptance letter from Zondervan, saying he couldn't help but share this milestone. 

One of this year's keynote speakers at Missionfest Manitoba will be a missionary with a powerful testimony of God's word reaching the least of these. 

Nard Pugyao has worked with Wycliffe Bible Translation and JAARS for over 40 years, most of those as a missionary pilot with both planes and helicopters.
