Winkler Bible Camp is turning 75 this year and one woman who was there as a child in 1949 is sharing how the camp has now impacted her family for generations. 

"The camp was originally founded by the Winkler Bible Institute through the Winkler MB congregation," says director Dale Wiebe, who has co-directed the camp with his wife Candace for 23 years.

The 55th annual GMA Dove Awards showcased the diversity of artists and songwriters in the modern Christian music scene.

Gospel singer Cece Winans won the coveted Artist of the Year at the Dove Awards ceremony. She also took home the award for Gospel Worship Album of the Year for More Than This as well for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year as a feature on Natalie Grant's "My Tribute (To God Be The Glory)."

A mother from Ashville, North Carolina is glorifying God after her seven-year-old son and parents were swept away in floodwaters caused by Hurricane Helene.

Floodwaters in the city rose quickly, forcing Meghan Dyre, her parents and her son, Micah, to the roof of their home. 

Jordan Feliz released his latest album on Friday, October 4, called Everything Good. 

"What's kind of weird is, when I was 15 I was driving with my dad in my hometown," says Feliz on social media, explaining when he realized he should be in music ministry. "I had just led worship for this youth event. My dad was telling me that he really felt like God was telling me I should really pursue this. He was speaking that over me. When he was doing that I felt Holy Spirit for the first time ever. I felt like God rushed over me and said, 'This is what I have for you.'"

As tensions in Israel continue to escalate following a new round of missile attacks from Iran, a mother in Niverville, Man., is holding onto her faith as her son remains in the region, dedicated to his mission of service and spreading the good news of Jesus.

Hurricane Helene left thousands in need of help this past week, including many in North Carolina where the local churches are helping out in a major way. 

While roughly 1,000 people are still unaccounted for, Hurricane Helene hit the east coast of the U.S.A. with a vengeance over the past few days, with over 200 deaths and counting. 

Christian songwriters and publishers were recognized last week at the 47th annual American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Christian Music Awards. 

Matthew West and Brandon Lake took home some of the top honours with West taking home Christian Music Songwriter of the Year, and Lake winning Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year.

This is the sixth time that Matthew West has taken home the Christian Music Songwriter of the Year award. Last year he received the Golden Note Award, given to artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones.

The Bible took front and centre during this year's International Translation Day.

The streets of Winnipeg will be filled with prayer on Saturday, as part of a city-wide prayer drive that has been happening annually for 18 years.

The idea for the drive came out of a Why Encounter event in 1986, an evangelistic initiative that saw 1.3 million copies of Why Am I On This Earth? delivered door-to-door from Halifax to Vancouver Island. After the success of that event, its founder, Ann Wiens, prayed for a new project, and that’s when the idea for the prayer drive was born.

The Color recently brought a little Canada on tour with The Newsboys when the bands faced off in a friendly game of hockey.
