Lambson fans 11 as Goldeyes power past Saltdogs

The Winnipeg Goldeyes (36-46) combined dominant pitching with a power surge at the plate to claim a 7-2 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs (31-49) Sunday afternoon at Blue Cross Park, securing the three-game series win.
 
Winnipeg struck early in the bottom of the second inning. Matthew Warkentin launched his 12th home run of the season over the right-field wall, and moments later, Keshawn Lynch delivered a two-run blast to left with Tripp Clark aboard to make it 3-0.
 

Goldeyes roll to big win in Sioux Falls

The Winnipeg Goldeyes (31-43) opened a four-game series in dominant fashion Monday, posting a 13-4 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries (42-33) at Sioux Falls Stadium.
 
For the first time in four games, the Goldeyes found themselves trailing early after a bases-loaded walk to Mike Hart in the bottom of the first scored Jabari Henry to give the Canaries a 1-0 lead.
 

Goldeyes fall to Fargo-Moorhead

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (39-32) defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes (27-42) Tuesday evening at Blue Cross Park by a score of 4-2.
 
After three and a half innings of scoreless baseball, Keshawn Lynch and Matthew Warkentin reached on singles before Roby Enríquez ripped a two-run double off the centre field wall to give Winnipeg a 2-0 lead.

Goldeyes drop another close one in Sioux Falls

The Winnipeg Goldeyes (25-35) suffered their 15th one-run loss of the season Wednesday evening, falling 3-2 to the Sioux Falls Canaries (35-25) at Sioux Falls Stadium. It was Winnipeg’s sixth consecutive defeat.

Tough night for Goldeyes as Canaries even series

The Sioux Falls Canaries (20-16) evened their series with the Winnipeg Goldeyes (16-19) Wednesday evening, using a nine-run fourth inning and five total home runs to secure a 15-2 win at Blue Cross Park.
 
The Canaries opened the scoring in the first inning after a dropped fly ball in left field allowed Mike Hart to score. The Goldeyes answered immediately in the bottom half of the frame, as Tanner O’Tremba delivered a two-run double to left-centre, scoring Ramón Bramasco and Roby Enríquez to briefly put Winnipeg ahead 2-1.

No sweep in Gary as Railcats top Goldeyes

The Gary SouthShore RailCats (9-24) avoided a series sweep at the hands of the Winnipeg Goldeyes (15-18) Sunday afternoon with a 9-1 victory at U.S. Steel Yard.
 
The RailCats got on the board in the bottom of the third inning when first baseman Joe Suozzi drew a bases-loaded walk that forced in LG Castillo. One pitch later, right fielder Jake Guenther – claimed off waivers from the Goldeyes one week ago – hit a grand slam to right field to make the score 5-0.
 

Goldeyes shut out by Chicago in series finale

The Winnipeg Goldeyes (13-17) were held off the scoreboard Thursday evening, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Chicago Dogs (15-16) at Impact Field in the finale of a three-game series.
 
After scoring 19 runs and hitting nine home runs over the first two games of the set, the Goldeyes were shut out for the second time in four contests.
