Fire rips through Radville's Long Creek Saloon overnight
Just weeks after the grand opening of the new town hall in Radville, after the old one was claimed in a fire, another blaze has claimed a well-known building in the community.
Overnight, a fire burned through Radville’s Long Creek Saloon and is said to have claimed a restaurant beside the establishment. In addition to the fire department responding to the blaze, community members came out to provide whatever assistance they could as well.

Larry Heggs, the executive director of the Saskatchewan Automobile Dealers' Association, is optimistic about the new vehicle market. Here in Saskatchewan, the purchase of new vehicles has been up by around 300 units, year-to-date. This number includes cars as well as trucks.

Food, shelter costs rise as Saskatchewan inflation remains unchanged
The latest inflation data was released by Statistics Canada Tuesday morning.
The numbers showed the overall consumer rate index in Saskatchewan, or CPI held steady in June at 1.43 percent. While the overall number remained unchanged from the previous month, some numbers did have changes. Some of the biggest changes outside of the energy sector came with food and shelter, which were up 3.68 percent and 3.72 percent respectively.

SEDA recognizes CF Sunrise with prestigious Chairperson's Award
A program introduced by Community Futures Sunrise started out as something for rural entrepreneurs in southeast Saskatchewan. Soon, it was expanding to the whole province, which attracted the attention of the Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance. As a result, at their conference in Saskatoon last month, they presented CF Sunrise with the Chairperson’s Award.

The latest numbers from Statistics Canada show the unemployment rate in southeast Saskatchewan went down in June.
Free Fishing Weekend returns to Saskatchewan this July
It has become an ever-popular tradition over the past 35 years and is making a return this year. The Government of Saskatchewan has announced Free Fishing Weekend will be returning on July 13th and 14th.
The weekend allows Saskatchewan residents, as well as visitors to the province, to fish in public waters that are open to sport fishing without a licence.
New town hall a "stunning" symbol of Radville's resilience
Just over 18 months after the original town hall and fire hall were destroyed in a fire, the brand new building was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon.
