Clayton Dreger and Ryan Simpson

The Winkler Flyers will play on the weekend at the 2024 Centennial Cup in Oakville, Ontario. The Flyers are the team that eliminated Portage from the MJHL playoffs this past season and they are representing the province and this years national championships after winning their first league title since 1998.

Monday night, Malachi Klassen stopped all 24 shots he faced as the Flyers shutout the host Oakville Blades 4-0. The win clinched a playoff spot for the team.
