They opened up the weekend with a 4-3 loss in Lethbridge but bounced back with a decisive 6-3 win over the Tigers in Medicine Hat on Saturday night.

The Moose Jaw Warriors are now back at home and preparing for a home game this Friday as they host the Everette Silvertips.  

The Winmar AAA Warriors were at home this weekend and winning! They beat the Saskatoon Contacts by scores of 5-3 and 9-1. They next play the Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday. 

The Moose Jaw Warriors start their day in Lethbridge where they'll play the Hurricanes tonight. James Gallo has the pre-game show at 6:40 on Country 100 with play-by-play to follow.

The Warriors play the Tigers in Medicine Hat tomorrow night. They'll be back on home ice a week from tonight against the Everett Silvertips.

The Winmar AAA Warriors have a pair of home games at the Hangar this weekend against the Saskatoon Contacts. Puck drop tomorrow is 7 pm, and it’s a matinee on Sunday with a 1:30 start.

One game last night in the WHL - Saskatoon beat Calgary 5-3. The Blades are 4 and 0 to start the season.

Moose Jaw Crime Stoppers and the Moose Jaw Police Service are looking for suspects following spray painting incidents on the 10 block of Main Street North. 

Businesses in the area are thought to have been spray painted after 10:45 p.m. on September 13, 2024

One of the three suspects reported was seen wearing a dark-coloured hat, hooded jacket, and gloves, and a black Honda Civic may also have been involved.  

The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has confirmed that Superintendent Taylor Mickleborough is no longer a member. 

Mickleborough had been an officer starting in 2000 according to the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police, and has won a number of awards, including a Police Exemplary Service medal for efficiency, good conduct, and industry back in 2021.  

He's back in Moose Jaw and practicing with his teammates! The Moose Jaw Warriors welcoming star forward Brayden Yager after the Winnipeg Jets sent him back to junior for another season. The 19-year-old Yager recorded 95 points in 57 regular season games last year and added 27 points in 20 playoff games, helping the Warriors to their first WHL championship.

The Warriors are on the road this weekend with games in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat.

Former Warriors Dustin Boyd and Jody Lehman have been named to the 2024 induction class of the Warriors & Legends Hall of Fame.

While there was plenty of rainfall in several regions in Saskatchewan for the week of Sept. 17 through Sept. 23, the crop report shows a completion rate remaining above both the five-year average (75 per cent) and ten-year average (69 per cent), currently sitting at 79 per cent.  

Megan Rosso, Crops Extension Specialist at the Agriculture Knowledge Centre in Moose Jaw said that producers in many regions are hoping for drier conditions to help finish harvest. 

There will be a road closure Monday, Sept. 30 for the Wakamow Aboriginal Community Association's honour walk from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Closures will be in place on Athabasca St. E from 2nd Ave. NE to the Main Street intersection, on Main St. (northbound lanes only) from Athabasca St. to Fairford St., on Fairford St. from Main St. to 3rd Avenue NE, as well as 3rd Ave NE from Fairford St. to Stadacona St.

Drivers are reminded that fines can be implemented for removing or driving past signs or barricades.

The Moose Jaw Warriors will hit home ice again tomorrow night against the Regina Pats, before heading to Regina for an afternoon game on Sunday.

High school Junior Girls’ volleyball yesterday, Central Red beat Central Butte 25-13 and 25-11, Central Red beat Riverview 25-7 and 25-11, it was Central Butte over Riverview 25-15 and 25-13.

Vanier beat Notre Dame 2 sets to none, and also beat Peacock Green 2 sets to 1. Peacock Green got a 2 sets to none win against Notre Dame.
