Hundreds of kids go to camp every year while they're on break from school, and My Church Winnipeg is gearing up for a full summer with eight weeks of My Kids Day Camp. 

"We run seven weeks that are for kids ages five through 12 and our final week is a junior high week which is for students entering Grade 6 to entering Grade 9. Every week is a different theme, we make sure that every week has its own feel with lots of different activities," Family Pastor, Rose-Ann Weiss says.

We are now at the end of the school year so a pizza party was a must!  Ms. Roths grade 5 class at the school in Plenty were highlighted as June's Classroom of the Month. They got to celebrate a years worth of hard work with a surprise visit from Country 104 Morning Show host, Darien Rae and of course a delicious pizza lunch courtesy of Boston Pizza Kindersley.

If it seems like a lot, it’s because it is – especially for a community of approximately 500 residents, about 40 km from Steinbach. But Canada Day celebrations have been a big deal in Vita for many years, and with the 2024 holiday falling on a Long Weekend Monday, they’re about to get even bigger. And better.

For Chelsea Westerbeek, it all began with horses.

Having moved her business, LR Horse & Pet, to Kleefeld, MB three years ago, she followed her passion by initially focusing on equine feed and supplements.

“Everything started with the health of the horse,” she says. “That’s where I started.”

Every kid has their thing. Some are natural artists. Some dedicate their free time to music. Some do a little bit of everything. Others love staying active, playing every sport possible.  

In Swift Current, one of the best ways for kids to find, or refine, their passion, is through the Swift Current Minor Football (SCMF) leagues. 

With programs for kids ages six to 13, youth players have an incredible opportunity to learn the game, grow their skills, and take the first steps in their sports careers.
