Florence Elva Fournier
March 19, 1948 – September 27, 2022

Our sweet dear mother passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital with her loving sons by her side every step of the way.

Mom was predeceased by her father Bill in 2000, her mother Bea in 2013, and her sister Frances and brother Phil who passed earlier this year.

Mom is survived by her sons Brian and Kevin and her four legged son Mr. Axel, she will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.

Diane Betsy Necanapenace
November 27, 1984 – September 22, 2022

Diane was a good, kind and beautiful soul who loved everyone. She worked at Migizi Wazason Childcare Centre. She enjoyed fishing by boat and ice. She loved beading, going to bingo, visiting the casino, hanging out with family & friends. She dearly loved her babies.

Neil Gregor MacLeod passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving family on September 19, 2022 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, at the age of 70 years.

Neil was predeceased by parents Len and Barbara MacLeod; brother Rodney Leonard MacLeod and mother-in-law Alice Arch. 

Gloria Paypompee "Mishkwe Binesiik Ikwe" Strong Thunder Bird Women at age 71, loving mother of 7 passed away in the early hours of September 18, 2022, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. 

On Saturday, September 17, 2022, Sharon Gail Lajeunesse-Sutcliffe (Mammy), a beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital with her family by her side at the age of sixty-three years old.

Carolyn Henley
July 27, 1951 – September 14, 2022

Peacefully, with her family by her side, Carolyn Susan Margaret Henley passed away on September 14, 2022, at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, at the age of 71 years. 

She is survived by her children Jay Zlabis (Norma Derksen) and Willa Zlabis; her grandchildren Arron Derksen, Emily Derksen, Jacob Derksen, Jillian Skead (Patrick Mallory); and numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, not limited to, but including Arlene, Gail and Jerome.

With her family by her side, Maggie Lajeunesse (nee Beaver) passed away at home on September 8th, 2022. She was 93 years of age.

Margaret (Marnie) Lundin
August 11, 1929 – September 5, 2022

Margaret Louise (Marnie) Lundin (nee McMullen) passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2022 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, with family by her side.

Al Steven Scott-Wagamese
February 7, 1962 – September 8, 2022

It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Al Steven Scott at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital at the age of 60.

We are sad to announce that Sheri, age 59, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 at her home.  Sheri passed while was sitting on her deck, looking up at the stars after enjoying a beautiful day and evening with her husband who was her best friend and constant companion.

She was born March 29th, 1963 in Fort Frances to her loving parents Larry & Dianne (Judson) Strachan.

She married her husband Ward Orest Maryniuk February 27th, 1988 in Winnipeg and had their daughter Cori (Maryniuk) Miles shortly after.
