Robert Lyndell Brown

With heavy hearts and sorrow we share with you the passing of our dad, Robert “Lyn” Brown on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the age of 80 years. Dad was diagnosed with cancer just over two years ago. During that time, he continued to live with his usual zest. There came a time when his energy levels would no longer allow full mobility but his sense of humour never faltered nor did his desire to spend time with us as well as friends.

Anita Elsie Peters (nee Shier)

With sadness we announce the passing of Anita Peters. With family by her side, Anita passed away on the morning of February 23, 2024, at Lions Prairie Manor, Portage la Prairie at the age of 75.

Helen Rempel (nee Doerksen)

With family by her side, Helen Rempel passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 65 years.

Sarah “Blanche” McLeod (nee Johannson)

Peacefully, on Saturday, February 10, 2024, our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Aunt passed away with family by her side after a long and healthy life.

Born in Winnipeg, she grew up in Big Point, and went to school there and in Langruth. She moved to Winnipeg to live with her aunt and complete her Grade 12, then decided to stay the summer and attend Teachers College. Come September she went out teaching for 2 years, first at Marshland and Neepawa, and then Lakeland.

Betty Eva Mould (nee Donovan)

With family by her side, Betty Mould passed away on January 15, 2024 at the St. Claude Pavillon at the age of 95 years.

Betty leaves behind her husband Maurice Mould, daughter Bev (Garnet) Williams of St. Claude, son Gary Mould of S. Wales, UK, along with numerous relatives and friends.

A private family service will be held with interment taking place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen “Elma” Mulligan on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, surrounded by family at the age of 94 years.

April 3, 1930 - January 19, 2024

Leonard Lepine of Portage la Prairie passed away on January 13, 2024 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 79 years. 

Prayers and a time of viewing and visitation will take place on January 17, 2024 6:00 PM at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.

Grace Darlene Chermishnok-Cohen
November 10, 1942 - December 28, 2024

Peacefully at home with her daughter Valanne and grandson Tyson by her side Darlene went to greet her loved one’s on other side on December 28, 2023 at the age of 81 years.

Darlene was predeceased by her husband Gordon, sister Hazel (Ernest) Wenham, Mac (Lil) Bird, Bert (Fern) Bird, Everett (Lyla) Bird. She left behind the greatest people in her life, her son Vince (Jim) Chermishnok, daughter Valanne Chermishnok,
