TRADE: Warriors receive draft pick from Regina for Ginnell

Moose Jaw Warriors general manager Jason Ripplinger has announced a trade with the Regina Pats.

Moose Jaw acquires a fifth round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft in exchange for 20-year-old forward Riley Ginnell.

“We would like to thank Riley for his time in Moose Jaw and we wish him all the best in his career moving forward,” Ripplinger said.

Ginnell was traded to the Warriors from Brandon on Oct. 11 for a fifth round pick. He had one goal and three points in 14 games in Moose Jaw.

The Moose Jaw Warriors struggled early and couldn’t finish late on Tuesday night, dropping a 2-1 game to the Prince Albert Raiders at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

Moose Jaw falls to 11-8-0-0 on the season.

It’s the second straight home loss for the Warriors, who were coming off a 5-1 loss on Saturday to Medicine Hat.

Ryder Korczak reassigned back to the Warriors

Ryder Korczak has been reassigned to the Moose Jaw Warriors by the New York Rangers.

“This is a huge addition to our team,” Warriors general manager Jason Ripplinger said. “Adding a top-six forward to your team without any compensation is obviously exciting for the organization.

“We expect Ryder to come in, be a leader and help us win some more games.”

The 20-year-old forward has played in five games this season with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League.

“I like the fact that we stuck with it, we got some saves from our goaltender and we were able to pull it out,” Warriors assistant coach Scott King said.
