Danny Plett shares new single on identity and touring Europe
Singer/Songwriter Danny Plett writes songs to inspire Christians in both English and German.
"Most of my time is spent in Canada but my plan is to plan two trips a year to Europe," says Plett. "This summer I was out there for five weeks doing a tour in Germany and I also did a trip to Ukraine."
Plett lives in Steinbach, Manitoba but his music has a big following in European countries.
"I have a good friend that lives out there. He's from Canada and he married a Ukrainian and they live in a city of Uzhhorod which is in the very western extreme of the country."

Dyck guessed the three different people who said this to him were communicating about his current salary as it was based on donations.
Things you need to know to stay safe around water this summer
The Lifesaving Society is offering up tips to have a great summer.
"It's our annual event to raise awareness of the problem of drowning and ways people can go about being what we call water smart, and thinking about preventing drownings and water-related injuries throughout the year," says Dr. Christopher Love, the Water Smart and Safety Management Coordinator of the Lifesaving Society Manitoba.
Every year in Canada roughly 450 people die due to drowning.
'When thunder roars, go indoors'
An Environment Canada meteorologist is breaking down how to stay safe when extreme weather, such as thunderstorms or tornados, occurs.
"We like to use the cupcake analogy for watches and warnings," says Terri Lang. "When we talk about a watch, whether it be a severe thunderstorm or tornado, that means all the ingredients are there to make a severe thunderstorm or tornado. When we have a warning, it means all the conditions have come together and that thunderstorms or tornados are imminent or occurring."

Mother charged after 7 youth injured in off-road vehicle collision
The Pembina Valley RCMP has charged a 29-year-old mom with three offences after her 13-year-old daughter and six friends were in a collision involving an off-road vehicle, including sending one to a hospital in Winnipeg with serious injuries.
The incident took place on June 15, and none of the seven youths were wearing a helmet. The females, all aged 13 and under, were riding together on the side-by-side Off-Road-Vehicle (ORV) when they lost control on the gravel and the ORV rolled into the ditch, throwing all the riders.
