Mask requirements to be lifted in most healthcare facilities in Manitoba
The province is lifting masking requirements in most healthcare facilities across Manitoba.
Shared Health Manitoba made the announcement Wednesday afternoon, saying the changes in masking requirements are based on advice given by infection prevention and control experts and reflect the changes we have seen with virus transmission over the past year.
The change, which applies to most visitors and patients entering healthcare facilities, will take place on May 10.

2025 Grey Cup coming to Manitoba
Football fans have something exciting to look forward to in 2025.
The Canadian Football League announced Tuesday that the 112th Grey Cup will be played at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg in November 2025.
This is the fifth time in the history of the CFL, the Grey Cup will be played in Manitoba.
The championship game will be played following a week of fanfare and celebration at the annual Grey Cup festival.
The last time Winnipeg hosted the Grey Cup was in 2015. This will be the second game hosted at IG field.
Provincial funding will educate the public about human trafficking, says justice minister
This past week, the Manitoba government offered a significant financial boost for a national awareness campaign drawing attention to the issues surrounding human trafficking.
The province announced on Wednesday that it will provide $100,000 to the Joy Smith Foundation to help expand its public education efforts.

Province offers free entry to provincial parks in mid-July

Building on the success of last year’s initiative, the Manitoba government is once again offering free entry to provincial parks for a whole week in mid-July, including Canada’s Parks Day weekend, so that visitors can take advantage of these parks.
