ESTON, Sask. — A unique faith-based rehabilitation centre in west-central Saskatchewan is offering men struggling with addiction a chance to rebuild their lives—one class, one chore and one cinnamon bun at a time.
Village of Hope Eston is a 10-month residential program for men seeking recovery from drug or alcohol addiction. Located in the former Eston College campus, the facility now houses dormitories, classrooms, and a fully operational bakery that serves both as a life skills training ground and a popular spot for fresh-baked treats.

Wildfire relief in action: Kindersley community offers aid and resources
A clothing drive will be held Saturday, June 7, to support individuals displaced by wildfires. Donations can be dropped off at the Elks Hall in Kindersley between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Organizers are asking for new or gently used, clean clothing and shoes, as well as new socks and underwear.

Sasktel to waive services for those affected by wildfires
On Thursday, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe took to Facebook to announce that those in affected communities will see their television, cellphone and internet services waived.
In the post, Scott Moe explained, “SaskTel is continuing to waive overage fees for communities affected by the wildfires.
Customers who are forced to leave their homes due to the wildfires will not be charged for television, internet, and home phone services.”

West Coast unloads were 6,332 cars and 2,051 for Thunder Bay.
The total average terminal out-of-car time (OCT) increased to 15.2% from 6.0% the previous week.

Impaired driving charges following a BOLO and threat investigations keep Rosetown RCMP busy
ROSETOWN, Sask. — Rosetown RCMP dealt with a range of incidents from May 29 to June 5, 2025, including erratic driving, threats, and ongoing investigations into fraud and harassment, according to a recent media release.
On May 29, police received a complaint about erratic driving on Highway 7 but were initially unable to locate the vehicle. Later that evening, after receiving a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) from Kindersley regarding a similar report near McGee, RCMP intercepted the driver. The individual was charged with refusal to comply and impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
