Go Green wraps up in Swift Current having grilled get together in Market Square
Grilling burgers as an offering of thanks for help with yard work is a tradition that continues to be honoured by Stark and Marsh.
Go Green recently wrapped up another year in Swift Current, and the local accounting firm thanked all the volunteers who helped keep Swift Current's green spaces looking pristine with free burgers on Friday.
All told, the event raised $800, for the local SPCA as non-Go Green members paid $10 per meal.
Heading up the year-end volunteer appreciation grilling event was Ashley LaFontaine, marketing coordinator for Stark and Marsh.

SCRAPS expresses urgent need for fosters
SCRAPS is asking the public to consider opening their homes and fostering cats.
Gail Duchak, fundraising coordinator, said that they’ve currently got over 200 cats under their care. “We are calling for fosters for us to continue helping the cats in the community - we desperately need fosters.”
City council goes back and forth over Aquatic Centre grant application
Swift Current city council saw some division when it came to applying for funding to help construct a new indoor pool in the city Monday night.
Two-thirds of council voted in favour of filing the application through the federal government's Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Grant Program. City councillors Leanne Tuntland-Wiebe and John Wall voted against submitting the application.
'It makes you really sad': Stolen motorcycle found
It’s not the news that Kevin Ghiglione wanted to hear about his stolen motorcycle.
The 2006 Harley Davidson V Rod Street Rod was originally reported stolen near Moose Jaw at the end of August.
Ghiglione said he heard back from RCMP late last week that it was found without a plate and abandoned in Regina.
RID call results in three-day suspension for impaired driver: WPS
The Weyburn Police Service received a call reporting a suspected impaired driver last Friday. The vehicle was located by patrol officers and a mandatory alcohol screening demand was issued. The sample resulted in a warning, the driver was given a three-day driving suspension and a three-day vehicle impoundment.
Sergeant Shane St. John commented on the incident emphasizing the importance of Report Impaired Driving (RID) calls saying, “they're so important for us to get.”
Local theatre troupe is looking for an Indigenous actor

They are producing a play about the legendary Lost Lemon Mine, rumoured to be hidden somewhere in the southwest section of the province.
Runners and a sunny Mother Nature showed up for the 44th annual Terry Fox run
Dozens of runners, walkers, strollers and dogs showed up at Sunday's 44th annual Terry Fox run in High River.
Volunteer organizer Brenda McCredie said the weather turned out, as did people showing up to support the cause.
"It was so good this year. We had a record number of participants, and a record number of money raised. Right now, we're at about $4,600 but there's still more coming in. We had about 150 participants. We had the run club again from Joe Clark, so we had about 40 kiddos come out and their parents."
Swift Current's Memorial Bench Program sees upgrades & additions
The City of Swift Current's Memorial Bench Program has been honouring the lives of community members for nearly a decade and recently installed a duo of new additions.
One of the new memorial benches that was put in just this year is located near Buffalo Park while the other can be found just north of the Kiwanis Bike Safety Park off the Chinook Pathway.
Michael Newell, parks manager for the City of Swift Current, noted that after concerns about the wooden memorial benches, the City made the shift to sturdier, vinyl benches.
