Kingdom of Canada host cuts court
The owner of the former school in Richmound which housed the Kingdom of Canada has failed to appear in court after his arrest for assault back in early October.
59-year-old Ricky Manz brought Romana Didulo and followers into the town by offering them a place to stay, however, his arrest and subsequent disregard for an appearance in court stirred things up. The group fled the town yesterday and found sanctuary on a farm seven miles north of Richmound. Members of the group are staying in camper vans and RVs.

Richmound residents were thrilled to see that the RVs and motorhomes parked at the school were packing up. It was only when they turned away from the highway, heading north on a grid road that they realized something was strange.

Broncos Suspend Praught Indefinitely
Swift Current, SK. – Swift Current Broncos General Manager Chad Leslie announced today that Head Coach Devan Praught has been suspended indefinitely, for an alleged violation of the Western Hockey League Standards of Conduct. The WHL Security Network is reviewing the matter.
Assistant Coach Taras McEwen will assume the head coaching duties until further notice.
The alleged incident occurred on-ice during Swift Current Broncos practice on Monday, November 13.
Drug Strategy Action Committee seeking board members and volunteers
A local non-profit is hoping the public can help them reach their future goals.
The Drug Strategy Action Committee (DSAC) recently put out a call for board members and volunteers to aid them as they look to increase awareness events in the southwest moving forward.
Andrea Adams, a board member of DSAC, said the board meets once a month between September and June.
"We're looking for community members or professionals that would like to join the board in either a board member capacity or even as volunteers for events forthcoming," she said.

The Freedom Patriots of Saskatchewan are bringing two speakers to Swift Current next week for a public forum at InnovationPlex advertised as discussing ‘complexities of gender dysphoria and affirmation therapy.’
Booked for the Curling Rink lounge next Wednesday, the forum troubles some Swift Current residents due to the mention of conversion therapy on its poster.
Southwest village feeling harassed by self-proclaimed 'Queen of Canada'
The Village of Richmound has been home to a host of unwanted guests as of late.
Romana Didulo, an individual who self-proclaims themself to be the "Queen of Canada", has been staying at the former Richmound School, at the invitation of the property owner.
Since arriving on September 15, she and her followers have been disrupting life in the village. Residents have been chased in the streets by Didulo and others from her group in vehicles while taking photographs of residents.
