ELIZABETH “BETTY” MARIE RESCH

It is with love and sadness that the family of Elizabeth “Betty” Resch wish to announce her passing on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 in Avonlea, Saskatchewan.  Betty was born December 5th, 1930 in Truax, Saskatchewan to Olive and William Pritchett.  In 1950 she married Wilfred Resch they settled in Hanley, SK where they raised three daughters - Patricia, Glenda and Lorie.

OLSEN

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear Debbie Olsen, Sister, Mom, Grandmother, at the age of 69 on August 30, 2025 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. After years of many health challenges, it was time for her to be at peace and free of pain, so God called her home.

Debbie was born February 26,1956 in Assiniboia, Sask to parents Emilie and Leo Marcenko she grew up on the family farm where she and her younger sister Joanne along with many cousins and dear friends spent many hours exploring the pasture and creek together.

SYKORA

Regretfully, Larry Joseph Sykora aged 71 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29th, 2025, after an 8-month struggle with cancer. 

ACKER

It is with deepest love and sadness that the family of Brian Delbert Acker announces his passing on Saturday, August 30th, 2025.  Brian was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

MYKYTIW

Gail Janice Mykytiw, born September 18th, 1945 in Canora SK, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, at the age of 79 years.  A spirited soul with a zest for life, Gail leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and compassion. 

Gail is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Larry Mykytiw and their son, Tie.  Gail is also remembered by her sister, Cindy Knutson; and her cherished family members, including Mike (Becky, Oliver, and Ellie), Brandt, Angela, Zoe Mykytiw, Travis, and Marcy. 

BJORGAN

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Gerald (Jerry) Bjorgan, on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025.  Gerald was born Oct 1st, 1944 and grew up on the family farm near Waldron, SK.  He met our mom, Verna, and they were married in June of 1970.  They moved to Moose Jaw in 1973 and raised the family there. 

Shirley Anne Diamond passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK with family at her side.

ERNEST HENRY BUECKERT
1934-2025

Ernest Henry Bueckert was born on December 12th, 1934 at Parkerview, SK.  He was the fifth child of ten, born to David and Susanna Bueckert.  His family moved to Tugaske, SK and later to Eyebrow, SK where he lived until moving to Bethany Place in 2005/06.  Ernie attended schools in Winfield, Darmoody and Eyebrow, SK where he graduated, and later attended Rosthern Junior College (RJC) Bible School and Swift Current Bible Institute (SCBI).

At the age of 78, Myrla passed away peacefully on Saturday August 16th, 2025, surrounded by family and her dear friend Betty.

She was predeceased by her mother Myrtle Silsby and her daughter Lynette Peet and her brother-in-law Bill Gibson.  She is survived by her best friend, partner and husband Kent, her daughters Tara Holland (Tim McNulty) and Amber Holland (Travis Brown), son-in-law Parry Peet and sister-in-law Merla Gibson (yes there were two).
