It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Francis Riley on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, at the age of 44 years, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and son.  Born on December 9th, 1979, in Moose Jaw, SK, James lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure, touching the lives of all who knew him.

It is with great sadness that the family of Laun Cameron Wilby announces his passing on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, at the age of 52 years.  Laun will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tracey Lamont; daughter, Ellena Wilby (Ken and Ethan); stepson, Mason Blatz; parents, Diana (Dee) Wilby and Warren Wilby; brother, Christopher Wilby; niece, Calynda; nephew, Kaiden; and his dog Kurt.

MARQUARDT

Pamela Anne Susan Marquardt (née: Kalanuk), beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, at the age of 74 years, with her family by her side.  She was predeceased by her parents, Vera Kalanuk (1932- 1983) and William Kalanuk (1923 - 1985), whom she cherished deeply. 

Matthias (Matt) Raby “Frenchy”

Ronald Brian Gadd aged 79 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, June 8th, 2024.  Ron was born in Saskatoon, SK and grew up at Tilney, SK.  He married Iona Schrader and together they raised three children in Moose Jaw.  Ron always enjoyed socializing at local car events and could talk for hours about cars from the past.

He was predeceased by his parents, Don and Edna; and wife, Iona.  Ron is survived by his children: Rob (Jenny), Ronda (Rodger), and Ryan (Denille); and grandchildren: Tilney, Bea, and Colt. 

ANDERSON

Lynn Burdette Anderson, a longtime resident of Marquis and most recently Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, peacefully passed away at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in the early hours of Friday, June 21st, 2024, with his family at his side.  Lynn was born on July 6th, 1930, on his aunt’s farm in the Marquis District.  He was educated in rural schools and Keeler, SK and he proudly served in The Royal Canadian Air Force in 1953.  He began farming at the young age of 12 and continued this passion until his retirement in 2004. 

SHIRLEY JEAN EWEN

1934 – 2024

Shirley Jean Ewen (née: Hall) passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17th, 2024, at the Central Butte Regency Manor at the age of 89 years.  Shirley, daughter of Charles and Annie Hall, was born September 6th, 1934, in Lucky Lake, SK.  She was the 9th of 10 children and attended primary school in Sunkist, SK and finished school in Lucky Lake.

Shirley married Art Ewen on October 24th, 1953, in Lucky Lake, SK.  They farmed north of Riverhurst, SK until moving to town in 1980.

TAYLOR

Our hearts are broken by the passing of our mom, Juliette Annette Taylor on Monday, June 17th, 2024.  Juliette’s strength and courage were outstanding, and she was truly the strongest person anyone would know.  She took every hit life gave her like a champ.  Juliette had a heart of gold and a wonderful sense of humour.  She was an amazing and remarkable woman, and she will be missed dearly.

DONNA BARBARA ELLISON

1940 – 2024

Donna Barbara Ellison, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in Moose Jaw, SK on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, at the age of 83 years.  She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Dorothy; husband, Jim; and daughter, Shelley.  Donna is survived by her sisters: Janet, Diana, Judy, and Pat; and son-in-law, Gary.
