Blanche Gaudreau

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Blanche Gaudreau. Born in Gravelbourg, SK, on June 6th, 1948, and raised in Courval, Blanche passed away peacefully, at the time of her choosing, on September 25, 2024 while surrounded by several family members.

Predeceased by her beloved sons, Matthew and Benjamin Beard, her parents, Armand and Lea Gaudreau, her brothers Gerry, Louis, and Allan Gaudreau, her nephews Curtis Hannah, Cliff Andres and Jeffrey Gaudreau, and her good friend, Aileen Hall.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry Lynn (Huber) McKenzie on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Dr. F.H Wigmore hospital in Moose Jaw.

Born to parents, Robert and Audrey Huber, on June 2, 1957, in Regina.  At a very young age the family moved to Moose Jaw where she attended school at Ross Elementary and Peacock High School where she enjoyed drama and was part of the Peacock Musical, The Sound of Music, which almost every year she would look forward to watching the musical on television.

George Barry Webster

September 16, 1938 – September 21, 2024

 

Long time resident George Barry Webster of the Hearne District, passed away September 21, 2024.  Barry was predeceased by his parents, George and Gertrude Webster. He is survived by his sister, Velma and brother, Darle.

Barry will be dearly missed, and forever loved by those who knew him.

A Graveside Memorial Service for Barry will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Sunset Cemetery (9th Avenue SW). 

Maxine Elizabeth Curts

Maxine Elizabeth Curts (Gamracy) (nee Butler)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Maxine Elizabeth Curts (Gamracy) (nee Butler) announces her passing on 20 September 2024, two days before her 95 Birthday.

Born to parents Edward and Marie Butler in 1929, on a farm near Loreburn, Sask, Maxine was the fourth in a family of thirteen children. After struggling to make a living on the farm the family moved to Moose Jaw where Maxine got her first paying job working for Moose Jaw Woolen Mills.

Peggy Anne Crowther

It is with much sadness that the family of Peggy Anne Crowther announce her unexpected passing at the Regina Pasqua Hospital on September 19, 2024, at the age of 70. 

Peggy was born on May 23, 1954, in Hodgeville, SK to parents Wilhelmina (Minnie) Sthamann and Michael Sikorski.  She grew up in Chaplin, SK and continued to reside there after marrying Barry Crowther, also of Chaplin, SK, where they raised their two daughters, Sandra and Patricia.

Henry was born on May 4th, 1944, in Winkler, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Froese.

Donald Murray Storry

DONALD MURRAY STORRY

July 2nd, 1941 - September 17th, 2024

Donald Murray Storry aged 83 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024.  Don was born at the Moose Jaw General Hospital on July 2nd, 1941, and was raised on the farm in the Sunset District Southwest of Findlater, Saskatchewan.  He attended Sunset School and achieved Grade 8 before venturing out to help his dad on the family farm.  Don took over the farming operation in the early 80’s when his dad Bruce decided to retire.
