We are saddened to announce the passing of Mauna Elizabeth Oen aged 90 years of Moose Jaw, SK, on Friday, December 8th, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. 

Mauna grew up on the family farm in Admiral, SK.  She met Arnold Oen and started their life together in Moose Jaw, raising 5 daughters. Mauna was a wonderful Mom and Grandma.  Her door was always open to her many friends, old and new.  She had a witty sense of humour and lust for life.

Marjorie Kay Ryan

MARJORIE KAY RYAN

Marjorie Kay Ryan’s life story began and ended in Moose Jaw, SK.  She was born September 30th, 1942, and, mercifully passed away at her home on Friday, December 1st, 2023, following a stoic 30-year battle with cancer.  A battle she vigorously fought with both grace and profound determination, proving the courage and strength of character for which she was so well known.

Thomas Frank Shopa

Thomas Frank Shopa aged 78 years of Chaplin, SK, passed away on Thursday, November 30th, 2023.  A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held in the spring.

David "Dave" Epp

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to David “Dave” Epp.  Dave was born in the Ukraine on August 29th, 1929 and passed away in Moose Jaw, SK on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital with his son Brian by his side.  He was predeceased by his wife, Audrey in 2019.  Dave is survived by his three sons; David G. Epp, Eric F. Epp and Brian P. Epp; five grandsons; Jesse D. Epp, Christian A. Epp, Tyler J. Epp, Andrew D. Cameron, and Brian D. Cameron; and two great-grandsons; Allister J. Cameron and Ewan A. Cameron.

Christine Lynn Therien

THERIEN

Christine Lynn Therien, born on November 11, 1965 to Marcel and Hazel in Westlock, AB.  She passed away on November 28, 2023 at the Regina General Hospital.

The family moved to Moose Jaw in 1967.  Renee, a sister for Christine was born January 3, 1968.  Sadly, Renee passed away at 27 years of age. 

Christine attended Westmount and Riverview Schools for 11 years.  She was active playing softball and enjoyed playing music with her guitar, accordion and violin.  She had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. 

Kathleen "Kay" Joyce Hales

Kathleen (Kay) Joyce Hales (nee Hutchinson). Kathleen passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023 in her 97th year. Born to Leslie and Stella Hutchinson on September 26, 1926, she was the only daughter, and last surviving sibling. Her four brothers were Russ, Allan, Bill and Grant. She is also predeceased by her husband Melville and her daughter and best friend Loraine Ramage.

Elizabeth Jean Gibson

GIBSON

Elizabeth Jean Gibson passed away on November 28, 2023 at 87 years of age.  She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth and parents, Charlie and Sarah “Sadie”.  She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Dale with grandchildren: Zachary and Amanda (Tayte) Goddard; daughter, Kenda (Kevin) Eberle with grandchildren: Shivaun, Dylan and Austin.
