GEORGE ARTHUR BERNT

August 24, 1964 - October 20, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Arthur Bernt on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 at the age of 58 years, due to medical complications.  We are extremely devastated at his unexpected passing.  George was the son of James and Margaret Bernt, brother to Jamie Bernt and Heather Thomson (Bernt).  George is survived by his daughter Mayson Bernt and was uncle to Jessica, Nicole, Mackenzie, and Cassidi.

HILTS

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Sharon Louise Hilts (neé Hemingway), following a valiant fight against liver disease on November 4, 2022. 

Sharon was born on November 27, 1944 in Nakomis, SK., where she took her education.  She moved to Moose Jaw in 1962 where she met her husband in 1963 and where married July 18, 1964.  They resided in Moose Jaw for the remainder of her life. 

BISSKEY

Dorothy Isabelle Mary Bisskey, aged 90 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022.  She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Mary Anne McCarthy; husband, Elwood; son, Andrew; and grandson, Elwood.  Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Stephen and David (Arlene); grandchildren: Stephanie, Kristin (Kenton), Jeffrey, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Cayden and Lucas; and sister, Nancy.

The family of Florence Norinne Smith, aged 96 years of Moose Jaw, and formerly of the Assiniboia/Verwood district, SK announce the passing of their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother on Sunday, September 25th, 2022 at Providence Place.

TARA JEAN MURRAY

1986 - 2022

Tara Jean Murray, aged 36 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022.

She was predeceased by her brother, Jared; and grandparents: Jeanette and Ed Finch, and Russell Murray. Tara is survived by her mother and father, Darlene and Perry Murray; siblings, Justin and Trevin Murray (Belinda, Brooklyn and Hudson); grandmother, Dolly Murray; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

William (Bill) Inkerman Thomson was born in Owen Sound, ON on October 8th, 1937 and passed away peacefully at home in Moose Jaw, SK on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022. Bill was the beloved husband of Kathleen (née: Weare) for 21 years and favored best friend to his baby sister Sue Thrush (Ken) of Acton, ON. He was predeceased by his sister, Sandra (Gary Mercer); twin sister, Margo Durkson (Doug); and brother, Tom (Rose. Bill will always be remembered by his 3 children and 4 grandchildren, as well as by Kathleen’s 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

HELEN MARIE GABEL (née: Kuntz)

April 8th, 1933 – October 12th, 2022

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother, grandma, great-grandma, aunt and friend, Helen Marie Gabel, aged 89 years young, on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 with family by her side. 

SUTHERLAND

Penny Sutherland (née: Campbell) passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 in Moose Jaw, SK at the age of 65 years.

Penny was born June 6th, 1957 to Robert and Lieta Campbell.  She was raised in Biggar, SK, where she eventually raised three beautiful children with her loving husband Brad: Christine, Craig, and Stephen.  Penny was proud of her children in the careers they built for themselves and enjoyed hearing and being part of milestones in their lives.

With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Edward Eugene Leon Tinant.  He left us, peacefully at home in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022.

Elinor Mildred McDonald, aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022.  She was predeceased by her parents, William and Lillian; husband, Nick; sisters, Fay and Donna; and brother, Bill.  Elinor will be lovingly remembered by her son: Randy (Odette) and their children Jacob, Connor, and Addison; daughter, Cindy (Darryl) and their children Amber (Nathan), Dean, and Jesse, great-granddaughter Everly; son, Nick (Mercedes); siblings: Lorne, Shirley, Sandra, Terry, Betty, Ron, and Rick; and step-father, Peter.
