Maureen Happy

Maureen Happy passed away peacefully at Providence Place in Moose Jaw on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Maureen was predeceased by her father, Robert O. Cherry, her mother, Hilda Cherry, and her husband Larry Happy.

Maureen, a longtime resident of Saskatoon was born June 26, 1948, in Saskatoon. She is survived by her sister Sharon and two nieces Shelley and Jerleen.

Ted Robertson

Ted Robertson of Moose Jaw passed away on June 28, 2025. He was born May 19, 1956. 

He lived in many places in his life making many friends along the way. He was always our first to call if we needed help or even just some knowledge of the many things that he did over his lifetime. He helped us build houses, fix vehicles and any other projects that we had going.

Don "Fitz" Fitzsimmons

Don “Fitz” Fitzsimmons of Moose Jaw passed away suddenly on June 12, 2025, at the age 67. Don was a free spirit who lived his life by his rules, but he had such a big heart, and it showed in his love of animals, especially dogs, helping the elderly with such things as grass cutting or walking their dogs.  He also enjoyed racing pigeons. Don had worked for the City of Moose Jaw. He will be missed by his family.

Doris Cline

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Cline, who left us peacefully on May 26, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on December 25, 1943, Doris was a lifelong resident of Moose Jaw, SK, where she built a life rich in family and community.

Doris was the beloved wife of the late Dale Cline. She was also predeceased by her infant son, Stephen, and brothers, John (Alice) and Ken.

John Coleshaw Sr.

John Coleshaw Sr.

December 19, 1929 – June 4, 2025

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dad, John Coleshaw Sr., at the age of 95. He was born in North Battleford, SK and recently was a resident of West Park Crossing in Moose Jaw, SK. John lived, married and worked most of his life in Regina, SK.

John worked at Ipsco in Regina where he started as a welder and finished his 35-year career as an executive. He played a big part in the growth of the company, including Ipsco Park and the Turvey Centre.

William John Murphy

 William (Bill) John Murphy of Moose Jaw passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 86. Bill was born April 15, 1939, in Calgary, AB to his parents Eleanor and William Murphy. His family later relocated to Oakville, ON. When Bill was 15 years of age, his family moved to Moose Jaw, SK where he resided until his recent passing.

Helen Molly Machmer

Helen Molly Machmer (Mochoruk) went to her heavenly home Sunday May 25, 2025. Mom was born in the Krydor District, SK, on May 4, 1926. She was the ninth of 12 siblings to Fred and Melinda Mochoruk.

Mom was predeceased by her parents; sisters Mary, Anne, Stella and Lena; brothers Richard, John Peter, Harry Michael, Steve and Alexander; husband Peter; infant son Donald and step-grandson Kevin.

Stephen Austin Daly

Stephen Austin Daly of Moose Jaw passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Steve was born on November 18, 1948, to Ira and Esther Daly. He grew up on the family farm and later worked in the stock yards, was a truck driver and mechanic. Steve lived his life his way until the very end. He is predeceased by his parents; wife Darlene Daly and his partner Christine Foster.

Catharine English

The family are saddened to announce the passing of Catharine English, May 20 at the age of 92.  Cathy is predeceased by her husband Doug. Over the years they made their home in the Hearne/Briercrest areas and in Avonlea before retiring to Moose Jaw. 

She is survived by her three children Doug English (Angie), Pat (Julian Chinski) and Laurie (Guy Renaud); seven grandchildren and their spouses; 15 great grandchildren; and two brothers. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
