The death of Ervin Ambrose Mertz of Pilger occurred on his 78th birthday at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Ervin was born to Joseph and Rose Mertz on November 15, 1944, and was raised in the Wilmont district, SK. After his schooling, he worked at the Diefenbaker Dam and then moved to Thompson, Manitoba where he worked at the mine. Ervin later returned to Saskatchewan to farm, and then worked in construction.

Donald Edward Joseph Normandeau

Dad was born on February 5, 1943 in Montreal, Quebec to George and Violet Normandeau. When Donald was very small the family moved to Viscount, Saskatchewan. Donald grew up in the Viscount area and attended grade school there while also working on the family farm. Finishing high school, Donald began working on the construction of a new potash mine outside of Guernsey, Saskatchewan; Alwinsal Potash, now Nutrien.

Donald “Don” Edward Reiter was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He left this world to be welcomed by the angels on Oct 30, 2022, at the age of 88. He lived his final years at the Central Haven Care Home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
