Clarkes Funeral Home of Gladstone & MacGregor

Elsie Rempel of Portage la Prairie, formerly of MacGregor, passed away on May 21, 2024 at the age of 84. 

Funeral Service will take place on Monday, May 27 at 2pm at MacGregor EM Church. Viewing before the service, from 12 - 2 

Interment will be at Austin Sommerfeld Cemetery. 

Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. 

Asgar Sigurdson passed away on February 14, 2024 at the Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone at the age of 85 years.  

Viewing will be on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 7 - 8 pm at Clarke's Funeral Home in Gladstone.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 20th at 2pm at the Langruth Hall, Langruth, MB.  

Cynthia “Margaret” Rose Ginter (Fidler), long time resident of Glenella, passed away on February 11, 2024 in Deloraine, at the age of 88 years. 

Cynthia was born in Dry River Municipality of Manitoba to Ben and Rose Fidler on June 22, 1935. The family moved to Ethel Saskatchewan for several years and then back to Glenora and Neelin Manitoba.

Linda Marjorie Oswald (nee Wutke) age 73 years and 5 months passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 27th, 2024, at the Neepawa Health Centre.

Linda was born on August 13th, 1950, in Gladstone, Manitoba to parents Walter and Lydia Wutke. Linda was received as a child of God in Holy Baptism on September 10th, 1950, at the Zion Lutheran Church in the Tupper district. She was confirmed in this faith on November 14, 1965, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plumas, Manitoba.

Helen Friesen (nee Wieler), daughter of Henry and Aganetha Wieler (nee Penner) was born on February 22, 1936, in the Stanley Municipality. The family lived at Blumstein, MB till 1950, at which time they moved to a farm north of Austin. Being the second oldest in a family with 13 younger siblings afforded her many opportunities to provide childcare, acquiring and using homemaking skills, and carrying huge responsibilities needed to care for such a large family.

Herman Dyck at the age of 83 went home to be with Jesus on December 30th at the Portage and District General Hospital surrounded by his family.

Herman was born in Rosthern, SK on July 7th, 1940 to John W. and Agatha Dyck. He accepted Christ and met the love of his life Frances Friesen in 1961 despite surviving a life threatening accident that same year. In 1962, Herman & Frances got married and shortly after became parents to 4 daughters. The family moved several times and called Manitoba home whilst dairy farming.

Agnes Bueckert (Nee Martens) passed away very peacefully into her Saviour’s arms on Dec. 12, 2023, after a short six week battle with lung cancer at the age of 82 years, 10 months.

Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 10, 2023, at the the Third Crossing Manor, Gladstone at the age of 92. Bill was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Manchester, England to John & Olive Clarke.

Irene Elizebeth (nee Squires) passed away peacefully with her son Glen by her side at 4:30am

Irene was born March 5, 1938 to Percy and Dorthy Squires in Molesworth district. Mom was one of 9 children born .
