Thursday Thunder Player of the week is Grady Hauk

This week, the Thursday Thunder Player of the Week is 18-year-old rookie Grady Hauk.

Hauk, who is from Airdrie grew up playing hockey within the city with teams like the Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA, AC Avalanche U16 AAA.

A pair of one-goal losses to Heritage Junior Hockey League North Division opponents this past weekend have dropped the Airdrie Techmation Thunder record to 5-14-1 on the season, leaving them in sixth place in the North. Friday they lost 3-2 to the Three Hills Thrashers and lost Sunday 4-3 to the Mountain View Colts.

Thursday Thunder Player of the week is Calan Blondeau

This week, the Thursday Thunder Player of the Week for the Airdrie Techmation Thunder is 18-year-old rookie Calan Blondeau.

This is the second time Blondeau has been named player of the week.

From Airdrie, Blondeau has played hockey within Airdrie for many years, including with the Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA, AC Avalanche U16 AAA and Airdrie CFR Bisons U18 AAA.

This past weekend the Thunder only played one game on Friday (November 24), beating the Ponoka Stampeders for a second straight game 8-2.

Thursday Thunder player of the week is Joel Taniguchi

This week, the Thursday Thunder Player of the Week is 19-year-old Joel Taniguchi.

A rookie on the team who just recently signed with the Thunder to play full-time for them is from Airdrie and grew up playing hockey in the minor league system since he was eight years old.

This past weekend the Thunder played two games, one Friday night (November 17) against High River but sadly lost 4-1. Saturday (November 18) night's game was a completely different story as they beat Ponoka 12 - 1.

Thursday Thunder player of the week is Tanner Chapman

This week, the Thursday Thunder Player of the Week is 21-year-old Tanner Chapman.

Born and raised in Airdrie, Chapman has been playing hockey in Airdrie for most of his life. He spent his younger years playing for teams like the Airdrie Lightning and U15 AA, AC Avalanche U16 AAA and Airdrie CFR Bisons U18 AAA.

This is the second time this season Chapman has been named Thursday Thunder Player of the Week.

Thursday Thunder Player of the week is Damon Pennoyer

This week, the Thursday Thunder Player of the Week for the Airdrie Techmation Thunder is Damon Pennoyer.

From Calgary, Pennoyer grew up playing hockey in the Springbank area. Now 18 years old, Pennoyer wanted to play more competitive Junior B hockey than what there is in Calgary, so he decided to come play for the Thunder.

Thursday Thunder Player of the week is Austin White

This week, the Thursday Thunder Player of the Week for the Airdrie Techmation Thunder is 19-year-old Austin White.

White, from Airdrie, has played hockey in the city for many years playing for teams like the CFR Brison and the AA Airdrie Lightning.

Last Friday and Saturday, the Thunder started and kept their winning streak going. On Friday, the Thunder played the Mountain View Colts, the Thunder came away with a 4-2 win. Saturday night, White got the start in the net when the Thunder beat the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 4-2.

Thursday Thunder Player of the week is Kyran Gromnisky

This week, the Thursday Thunder Player of the Week for the Airdrie Techmation Thunder is 19-year-old Kyran Gromnisky.

Gromnisky, originally from Lethbridge, spent his younger years playing in the area before making his way to play with the Thunder. 

"Grom led his team in scoring this past weekend and showed some great leadership qualities," stated Airdrie Thunder Head Coach Randy Buckle.

Thursday Thunder Player of the week is Calan Blondeau

This week, the Thursday Thunder Player of the Week for the Airdrie Techmation Thunder is 18-year-old rookie Calan Blondeau.

From Airdrie, Blondeau has played hockey within Airdrie for many years, including with the Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA, AC Avalanche U16 AAA and Airdrie CFR Bisons U18 AAA.

Shaun Guest, the General Manager of the Airdrie Techmation Thunder stated that Blondeau is a powerful offensive defenceman who is dependable and well-liked by his teammates. Blondie (his nickname) has a great attitude and is a welcomed new addition to the Thunder, Guest said.
