I Love to Read Month 2023 - Minnewasta School
Robyn Wiebe and Friesen's Corporation Rep Andrea Klassen went to Minnewasta Elementary School in Morden for I Love to Read Month.
Andrea shared a bit about Friesen's printing press to some very engaged listeners.
I Love to Read Month with Gretna Elementary School
Clayton Dreger and Eva Heide visited Megan Regier & Sandra Carr's grade 2 class at the Gretna Elementary School for a story time adventure!
Carol Hildebrand from Friesen's in Altona joined the group to read to the classroom, which included her very own granddaughter, a student in the class who did not expect to see Nana! What a great surprise! Carol left the whole room smiling after gifting each student with a book to take home.
Carol & Clayton read A Strange Bird by Joëlle Tourlonias, while Eva read, I'll Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.
I Love to Read Month with Winkler Elementary School!
It's I Love to Read month and on Tuesday, Daemon Parent joined Friesens Corporation's Pamela Hiebert to share their love of reading to grade two students at Winkler Elementary School! Pamela read the book that Friesens is gifting to the kids, A Strange Bird, it's good to be a bit different.Written by Joëlle Tourlonias. Daemon read a childhood favourite of his, The Hockey Sweater, by Roch Carrier.
The kids had a bunch of fun, asked all sorts of questions, and a couple of students even did interviews!
I Love to Read Month with Parkland School
Pam Fedack visited the grade 2 students at Parkland Elementary School for a bit of reading fun!
Along with Pam, Sandi Enns from Friesen's in Altona was there to not only read to the kids, but also gift them a book for free!
Sandi read A Strange Bird by Joëlle Tourlonias, while Pam read The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and Lassie and Her Friends by Cecily Ruth Hogan,

I Love to Read Month visit to Ecole Elmwood School
February is I Love to Read Month and we are visiting schools right across the Pembina Valley to do some readings! CFAM Morning Show co-host Zack Driedger was first up and swung by Ecole Elmwood School in Altona to read to about 75 grade two students!
Chad Friesen, CEO of Friesens Corporation joined Zack to do some reading as well, and once they had both finished their books, every student got to take home a copy of the book "A Strange Bird: It's good to be a bit different" by Michael Engler.
