Police investigate homicide on Burrows Avenue

UPDATE:

Early this morning, at 3:45 a.m., the WPS responded to the 400 block of Burrows Avenue for the report of a stabbing incident.

Officers on the scene confirmed a 22-year-old male was stabbed. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

Members of the Homicide Unit have been notified and have launched an investigation.

Currently, no arrests have been made.

WFPS respond to house fire on Moray

Winnipeg fire crews are busy Thursday afternoon battling a house fire in St. James.

At approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday, the WFPS arrived at a bungalow in the 400 block of Moray Street where the fire appears to be at the front of the house.

Because of the incident, northbound Moray St between Portage Ave and Lodge Ave has been blocked off by emergency vehicles, with traffic being detoured.
