Tough third period leads to Warriors loss in Saskatoon
The Saskatoon Blades scored five unanswered goals in the third period and handed the Moose Jaw Warriors a 5-2 loss Friday night at SaskTel Centre.
Offensively, in the first period, the Warriors did a good job battling from the boards to the front of the Saskatoon net for opportunities. They scored the game’s first goal just past the eight-minute mark. On the power play, Ethan Semeniuk deflected a point shot from Aiden Ziprick to score his third goal of the year.
RECAP – Warriors harvest Wheat Kings in shootout
Brandon, MB – Rilen Kovacevic had one goal and four points Tuesday in Brandon to lead the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 5-4 shootout win over the Wheat Kings.
Throughout the first period, the Warriors’ forecheck did a great job hunting pucks and forcing turnovers inside the Brandon zone, leading to a 14-6 advantage on the shot clock.
Pavlik headed to Moose Jaw
Moose Jaw, SK – The Moose Jaw Warriors are pleased to announce that import forward Dominik Pavlik has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the organization.
“We are excited to have Dominik sign with our hockey club,” said General Manager Jason Ripplinger. “He skates well and has a good work ethic, he’s heavy, really skilled, and he plays the middle, which will complement our 2007 group. We are looking forward to having him join our team after the Christmas break.”
Kovacevic scores overtime winner in Regina
Regina, SK – Rilen Kovacevic scored two goals Saturday in Regina, leading the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 4-3 overtime win, snapping their five-game slide.
As expected, space to be creative in the offensive zone was limited at times as both teams forced a lot of wall battles and clogged up the middle of the ice to try and take away “home plate” chances.
Tigers claw Warriors
Moose Jaw, SK – The Moose Jaw Warriors dropped their fifth straight game Friday, losing 5-1 to the Medicine Hat Tigers at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
Throughout the opening period, the Warriors stood their ground against the Central Division leaders, however, Moose Jaw got themselves into penalty problems which allowed the Tigers to take control of the game.

LAST GAME… Prince Albert scored three goals in the third period on Tuesday, two of them into an empty net in the final minute of regulation, and went on to beat the Warriors 6-3 at the Art Hauser Centre. Rilen Kovacevic scored two goals for the Warriors and Pavel McKenzie had one goal. Josh Banini made 43 saves on 47 shots. Moose Jaw was 2-for-6 on the power play and 1-for-3 with a shorthanded goal on the penalty kill.

Prince Albert, SK – Prince Albert scored three goals in the third period, two into an empty net in the final minute, and went on to beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 6-3 at the Art Hauser Centre.
The first period was fast and furious as the teams established and maintained a quick and physical pace. Prince Albert scored the first goal of the game at 12:33 when Aidan Oiring capitalized on a Warrior turnover inside their zone.
GAME RECAP – Warriors dealt narrow loss in Lethbridge
Lethbridge, AB – Lethbridge scored two goals late in the third period to come back and narrowly beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 5-3 Tuesday night in Alberta.
New Warriors goalie Brady Smith was busy throughout the first period as Lethbridge stormed inside the Moose Jaw zone and outshot the Warriors 16-3.
TRADE – Warriors and Hurricanes team up for blockbuster deal
Moose Jaw, SK – Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Jason Ripplinger has announced the acquisition of 18-year-old Landen Ward, 19-year-old goaltender Brady Smith, the rights to 15-year-old defenceman Colt Carter, and six draft picks over the next four years in exchange for 19-year-old forward Brayden Yager and 19-year-old goaltender Jackson Unger.
The draft picks heading to the Warriors are a 1st round pick in 2025, 3rd round pick in 2025, 4th round pick in 2026, 5th round pick in 2026, a 1st round pick in 2028, and a 2nd round pick in 2028.
Warriors road trip opens with loss in Calgary
Moose Jaw was outshot 25-3 in the second period Sunday and surrendered four goals in the frame, and fell 9-0 to the Calgary Hitmen at Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Hitmen opened the scoring 95 seconds into the hockey game when a loose puck came to the top of the Moose Jaw crease. Calgary captain Carson Wetsch was there to lift it past Jackson Unger to give the home team an early lead.
