The festive season has arrived, and the Winnipeg Pops Orchestra (WPO) is doing their part to help spread the holly jollies.
Founded back in 1956, the WPO is made up of members ranging in ages and abilities, fostering musical connections through shared experiences performing in a wide arrangement of repertoire and styles.
Under the direction of Owen Clark, the 65-member orchestra presents their “Christmas Concert” which features plenty of festive favourites sure to leave the audience in good cheer. Adding to the excitement will be guest vocalist Michelle Wood, who has become a regular collaborator of the WPO.
The Winnipeg Pops Orchestra Christmas Concert takes place on Thursday, December 7 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, beginning at 7 p.m.
