The Langdon Walk and Run is back for another fun year, and this year has an 80s theme twist.

The event will kick off at the Langdon Community Library at 9 a.m. on September 22.

Heather King, organizer of the event says many people have already registered.

"We have 650 patrons that are now registered, but all proceeds for the walk and run do support library fundraising."

The event encourages everyone of all ages to come down and participate.

"It's a family-friendly race to really encourage all levels to participate, but you can either bring cash as well the day of the race and we will accept that for donations," said King.

The initiative will have a 1k, 5k, and a 10k option.

King says the run is vital to members of the community and volunteers are still needed.

"I know the community really looks forward to having this event in Langdon every year. An event like this also can't go forward without volunteers. If anyone is interested in volunteering, they can reach out to myself or the library itself."

Make sure to register before August 28, for a run kit.
