Two Wheatland County students are now the proud recipients of a new scholarship.
Samantha Munro and Karley Clark have been awarded the grants thanks to their academic achievements, community involvement, and strong dedication to their studies.
According to a news release from Wheatland County, the scholarship is given out annually to Wheatland County students.
A total of $2,000, with a maximum of $4,000 for all scholarships is offered through the program.
"We are thrilled to recognize the hard work and dedication of Samantha Munro and Karley Clark with the 2024 Wheatland Wind Community Benefit Scholarship," said Michèle Smith, Vice President, Business Management at Potentia Renewables. "At Potentia, we believe in investing in the future of our communities. These scholarships reflect our commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders in Wheatland County, and we look forward to seeing all that Samantha and Karley will accomplish."
Applications for next year will open in May of 2025.
