There is no shortage of events going on this weekend in Strathmore and the surrounding area.
For those looking for something to do, here are a few events that are free to attend and open for all ages.
FeelGood Gym & Wellness Centre Grand Opening:
The FeelGood Gym & Wellness Centre is hosting a weekend of events to celebrate its grand opening.
On Friday there will be a free mini chair massage and esthetic specials, with all appointments booked that day getting 25 per cent off.
On Saturday, there will be free step classes beginning at 9 a.m., alongside a meet-and-greet with the centre's therapist.
Sunday ends the weekend with free demos for personal training while launching their eight-week challenge.
The event also features a scavenger hunt along with prizes and a prize wheel for custom pricing.
The grand opening is located at 137 Second Avenue in Strathmore.
Resource Fair, Community BBQ, and Free Movie:
The Town of Strathmore is bringing a resource fair to the area on Friday (Sept. 6).
The event features many local organizations, a BBQ by donation, and a free outdoor showing of Disney Pixar's Elemental.
The fair starts at 5:30 p.m. in Kinsmen Park, with the movie beginning at 8 p.m.

Stick it To Stigma - Rebloom Community Health & Wellness:
An event centered around mental health awareness is coming to town on Saturday.
The event is hosted by Rebloom Community Health & Wellness and involves information on art, yoga, journaling, self-care, and healthy relationships. There will also be a live musical performance by Greg Rider.
Funding for the event was provided by the non-profit Not Today, which Rider himself is a part of.
There will also be prize packages, including a sunrise alarm, stuffed animals, and more.

Strathmore Fall Festival:
On Saturday there will be a Fall Festival taking place in Strathmore.
The festival will be hosted at the Strathmore Full Gospel Church and runs from noon until 3 p.m.
Some attractions at the fair include a bouncy castle, live music, and games with prizes. There will also be a community BBQ featuring hot dogs and burgers.
The church is located at 50 Maplewood Drive.
5. Chestermere Country Fair:
Chestermere's oldest ongoing annual event is set to arrive at the Chestermere Recreation Centre on Saturday.
This is the 35th annual fair and rodeo, which features a parade, harvest market, kids' zone, pancake breakfast, and more.
Although the event is free, tickets must be purchased to attend the rodeo and kid's zone. Tickets cost $7 per person, or $25 for a family of four.
