Strathmore is set to celebrate Alberta Culture Days as part of a month-long celebration across the province.
The event will be held at the Kinsmen Park Ampitheatre and Pavilion on Saturday, (Sept. 28) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission for the event is free and parking is available in the municipal building parking lot and downtown.
Vendors, performers, and volunteers are being asked to join in.
Volunteers:
- Assisting with parking.
- Staffing the info booth and first aid station.
- Supporting vendors in the cultural market.
- Assisting performers and entertainers.
Vendors:
- Food vendors.
- Market vendors.
Performers:
- Musicians.
- Dancers.
- Storytellers.
- Artists.
According to the Alberta government, $375,000 in grants have been awarded to 111 organizations in 48 communities to host Alberta Culture Days events.
The province says last year around 215,000 Albertans went to events held in communities across the province.
During the last weekend of the month, you can also visit one of the 20 provincially owned museums, and historic sites free of charge.
