Classical music duo TwoSet Violin has announced that they are officially ending their journey, surprising their global fanbase with a heartfelt message on social media.
In a post shared to Instagram and Facebook on Oct. 14, Brett Yang and Eddy Chen wrote, "This will be the last piece of content we post as TwoSet Violin."
The post included a gallery of photos of the two growing up together in front of the camera and with their violins over the past 11 years.
"We’ve all grown up together and it’s kinda surreal that we’re ending our chapter here."
TwoSet Violin, known for their blend of classical music and comedy, gained international fame over the past decade by producing entertaining content that demystified classical music and engaged a younger audience.
The pair's humorous approach to music education, through skits, challenges, and even live performances, resonated with millions.
"It’s been a wild ride with you all for the last 11 years. We’ve all grown up together and it’s kinda surreal that we’re ending our chapter here. Thank you for all the laughs, the genuine encounters in real life and all the special moments we’ve had with you online and offline."
The announcement has left many fans stunned, with speculation swirling across online communities.
On Reddit, some followers have suggested that the move might be a rebranding effort, while others have pointed out that the duo is not known for pulling stunts of this magnitude, making it unlikely to be a joke.
With over 7 million followers across various platforms, TwoSet Violin’s decision marks the end of an influential era in digital classical music.
