The sacrifice of the many who laid down their lives for our nation have not been forgotten by the Men of Vision branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.

On Nov. 9, three Cochrane Legionnaires continued the tradition of marking the graves of veterans at Cochrane cemeteries.

"It's a very important thing to our fallen and our veterans who have passed on," says Legionnaire Andy Bowyer.

Many of the graves marked are based upon extensive research completed by veteran Brian Walford, who served with the 34 Signal Regiment. Names continued to be added.

Capt. Shaun Simpson is a long-time participate in recognizing Cochrane's Field of Honour.

"In the Field of Honour here in town, I think in the main area there's 27. Throughout the three cemeteries on top of the hill there's at least 40 if not 50. Some sites already have crosses on them, so we want to make sure that we cover anybody that we can that we know who has served to protect this county."
