The 4th annual Hospice Harvest Wrap-Up is coming up on November 29.
The event will be put on by the Wheatland & Area Hospice Society, as they fight to build a hospice care centre in Strathmore.
"This is the fourth year we've done it, and we just wanted to bring more awareness to the Farming for Hospice. That with the music and kind of tying it all together, this seemed just like an awesome thing to get involved with," explained country musician Drew Gregory who will be performing at the event.
Gregory will bring out some well-known songs and a few new tunes.
"I just came back from a trip to Nashville, I want to play a few of the new songs that we just wrote that aren't even released yet," said Gregory.
The society will offer prizes at the event, and residents only need $20 to buy a few raffle tickets.
The event will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion in Strathmore starting at 5:30 p.m.
Dr. Joni Mcneely, chair of the society, says without community support, fighting for hospice care in Strathmore would be difficult.
"Community matters and hospice matters, and our community truly cares, and it's shown through its donations and volunteering that hospice is an important cause to them."
Keith Clayton, a supporter of the society expressed his gratitude for why hospice care in Strathmore and Wheatland County is vital.
"A place for a person to pass on in comfort with people who love them around them and enjoy the last days of their presence here with joy and love."
