Saskatchewan — MADD Canada is proud to launch its 2024-2025 School Program, One Last Dance, aimed at educating Saskatchewan students about the dangers and consequences of impaired driving.

The program, supported by Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) and the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA), will reach students in Grades 7-12. SGI and SLGA are sponsoring the delivery of 30 and 60 presentations respectively. These one-hour sessions are designed to raise awareness about the impact of impaired driving and to equip youth with the knowledge and motivation to make safe choices, including avoiding driving while impaired or getting into a vehicle with an impaired driver.

Road crashes remain a leading cause of death among Canadian youth, with alcohol, cannabis, and other drugs implicated in more than half of these incidents. By partnering with organizations like SGI and SLGA, MADD Canada's educational initiatives aim to prevent these tragedies and make Saskatchewan roads safer for everyone.

Flexible Presentation Formats for Schools

This year, the One Last Dance program offers flexible delivery options, including traditional assembly presentations, classroom sessions, and virtual formats to accommodate each school’s preferences. Following the presentation, schools will receive an Educators’ Guide and a School Kit containing additional scenarios and resources to help continue the discussion about sober driving throughout the school year.
