Town of Strathmore offering free firewood by Kinsmen Park

The Town of Strathmore is offering free firewood east of Kinsmen Park by Centre Street.

Residents can come and grab a few logs if they're planning to warm up their fireplace or host a few friends around a campfire.

"Our parks team has been busy removing the selected old poplar trees in Kinsmen Park and there is firewood available for anybody who wants it," wrote the town on its Facebook page.

The town says the firewood is available on a first come first served basis.
