It was a packed weekend of hockey for Weyburn hockey teams, with impressive road wins, and hard-fought battles at home. Here is a look at how the teams fared over the past few days.
Weyburn's U18 AA teams secure weekend victories
The U18 AA John Hulbert Construction Wings took a trip to Moose Jaw on Saturday for a game against the Warriors. Special teams would play a role in the game, as the Wings picked up their second win of the season with a 3-1 final score. Blaise Jorgensen scored in the first period, Rob Shumlich scored on the power play in the second, and Carson Palmer added a shorthanded, empty-net goal in the third.
The U18 AA Wings are back on the ice next Sunday when they host the Regina Vics at Crescent Point Place.

The U18 AA Apex Gold Wings were in Melville Sunday afternoon for a game against the Parkland Fire. Five different players found the back of the net as the Gold Wings won 5-2. The goals in the win came from Brooke McKinnon, Alex Reid, Ella Schenher, Payton Roth, and Hadley Gerle.
The next game for the U18 AA Gold Wings will be on Friday, as they host the Northwest Sharks at the Harry O Memorial Arena in Midale.
U16 AA Wings take Flight, conquer Saskatoon and Battleford (almost!)
The U16 AA Agriterra Wings were on a road trip this past weekend, with games in Saskatoon and Battleford.
The weekend started in Saskatoon, where they played the Bridge City Blues. Ried Kosior scored on the power play, and Brandon Renas added another goal as the Wings skated to a 2-1 win.
After the win in Saskatoon, they headed to Battleford for a pair of games against the North West Stars. They started Saturday evening with a big 8-2 win. Ross Gill had two goals, with Nate Missal, Travis England, Andrew Hemphill, Liam Stubel, Hudson Lincoln and Ethan Rutledge also scoring in the victory.
The two teams played again Sunday, and this time it would end in a 6-6 draw. Chris Neufeld and Hemphill had a pair of goals each, with England and Austin Merkley also finding the back of the net.
The next game for the U16 AA Wings is Saturday when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors at Crescent Point Place.
U15 AA Gold Wings split weekend games at Crescent Point Place
The U15 AA Whitecap Gold Wings played two games at Crescent Point Place on the weekend, winning one game and losing the second.
The first game was a 3-1 win over the visiting Regina Rebels White team. Taigan Duke, Arora Lasko, and Olivia Von Sprecken all scored in the win. Maci Patterson made 40 saves for the win.
The second game had the Parkland Fire in town. The Fire would score five goals in the third period en route to an 8-4 win. Kelsey Ripplinger scored twice in the loss, with Lasko and Haven Bourassa also scoring in the loss.
Seitz and Anderson lead U13AA Gold Wings in weekend scoring
The U13 AA Young Fellows Gold Wings played a pair of games on the weekend and would come away with a win and a loss.
The weekend started Friday night as they entertained the Prince Albert Foxes at the Power Dodge Ice Centre in Estevan. The Gold Wings would score twice in the second, and two more times in the third, as they went on to a 5-2 win. Sakoda Seitz scored twice, with goals also coming from Johanna Holman, Bradie Anderson, and Olivia Corbett.
Sunday, it would be the Northeast Aces coming to town. This time, the visitors would skate to the win, taking the game by a final of 6-4. Paisley McIntyre scored twice for the Gold Wings, with the other goals scored by Seitz and Anderson.
The U13 AA Gold Wings are now off from league action until December 14th, when they host the Saskatoon Comet Hurricanes.
