Lacombe Santas Anonymous wants to make sure that every kid gets a gift this Christmas.

The program collects new unwrapped toys that will be distributed to families in need.

Craig Darrell is treasurer for the Lacombe Kinsmen Club, which is running the program in partnership with Lacombe and District FCSS.

"Programs like this are a huge need within the community and surrounding areas," he said. "There's a lot of families out there that are struggling these days just with paying food bills and things like that. Having toys at Christmas just makes every kid feel included and a part of the community."

Collection bins have been set up throughout the community.

Applications to receive a toy can be made through Lacombe's FCSS office.

You can drop off your toy donation at one of the bins around town or stop by the Charity Checkstop on Nov. 30 in front of the Lacombe Fire Hall.

Donations will be accepted until Dec. 20. The toys will be wrapped by volunteers and then distributed shortly before Christmas.
