Serious accident with semi and SUV at MacGregor closes Trans-Canada

An accident occurred Tuesday afternoon on the Trans-Canada Highway near MacGregor.

The accident involved an SUV that was crossing Highway 1 at Highway 58W. The vehicle was struck by a semi with a load of pipes apparently travelling west. The semi then crossed into the eastbound lanes where it rolled over.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes were closed for a short period of time but traffic started moving slowly through the area shortly after as clean-up took place.
