V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N....in the summer sun! That's the first line of the song I sing to myself in the days leading up to my vacation. That song is older than me and I love it.

The anticipation is the best. I've got two weeks off, 16 days in all, starting Saturday.

There are a number of great vacation songs we play on Saskatchewan's Best Music. I think of "Holiday" from Madonna, the Go Go's "Vacation"  and "Holiday Road" by LIndsey Buckingham.

However, there's one line in one song that I've had in my head since I was a little boy. It struck me the first time I heard it and has been with me ever since. It's part of a 16 minute medley on side two of The Beatles' 1970 record, Abbey Road.

It's from the song, "You Never Give Me Your Money".  The line is, "Oh, that magic feeling...nowhere to go."

I'm looking forward to that magic feeling.
