The search for 69-year-old Stewart Campbell continues, after his vehicle was found this morning in the Rural Municipality of MacDonald.
Stewart, who has been missing since July 15th, was not with the vehicle when it was discovered around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24th. It was located on Road 3 West, about 500 metres north of Highway 2.
Search efforts are ongoing in the area, with ground teams from the RCMP’s Search and Rescue Unit working on foot, and support from aerial crews with the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA), who have already searched the surrounding area from above.
RCMP are asking residents with property in the area to help by checking sheds, garages, or other outbuildings. If you have outdoor security cameras, please review any recent footage for signs of Stewart.
Stewart was last seen in the early morning hours of July 15th near Stonewall. His family and local officials are growing increasingly concerned for his safety, as he may be confused or disoriented and in need of medical care.
He is described as 5’8”, around 110 pounds, with shaggy grey hair, blue eyes, and is clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a burgundy sweatshirt, light blue jeans, and black work boots.
Anyone with information about Stewart’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Stonewall RCMP at 204-467-5015.
The community continues to hope for Stewart’s safe return and is encouraged to remain vigilant and help however they can.
