Get ready, Estevan! On Friday, October 10th, Southeast Advocates is bringing a brand new event to town: Taste of the Nations at Southeast College’s Estevan campus. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and promises a night of “food, culture, and community,” says Cali Mack, the coordinator with Southeast Advocates.
Taste of the Nations gives people the chance to “sample dishes from a variety of cultures,” and enjoy live entertainment and cultural displays. Cali adds it’s also a time to “meet people, share stories, and celebrate diversity in our community.” Among the performances, there will even be a mariachi band, which Cali calls “so awesome.”
Tickets are $25 for adults, while children six and under are admitted free. You can grab your tickets online, at the Southeast Advocates office on 6th Street, or at Platinum Hair Design on King Street. “Bring an appetite and fun,” Cali encourages, making it clear this is an event everyone can enjoy.
