About 400 Manitoba Hydro customers lost power Monday afternoon after two underground cable faults in a residential area.
The outage began around 4:30 p.m., with most customers restored by 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. Hydro says the double fault reduced their ability to switch customers to alternate feeds, meaning many remained without power until crews completed repairs.
Service has since been restored, though Hydro notes further work will be required. No date has been set for those repairs, but customers are encouraged to update their online account information to receive notifications about planned outages.
