Guitarist Daniel Bolshoy is a well-travelled concert soloist, recitalist, and avid chamber musician committed to the proselytization of his instrument. A Senior Lecturer in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia where he directs the guitar program, Bolshoy brings his undeniable talent to the outstanding roster of Agassiz Chamber Music Festival artists this year.
No stranger to Winnipeg audiences, Bolshoy has previously performed in town with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, Women’s Musical Club of Winnipeg and Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society.
As one would expect from a renowned six-string player, he brings plenty of South American guitar goodness (Barrios, Guastavino, Assad) to his varied concerts in addition to music of Schubert, Boccherini and others.
